San Diego County Sheriff’s Department Work Release Program
Work Release opportunities exist for low-risk inmates to meet their legal obligations while continuing to work in the community.
You have to arrange an appointment within 72 hours from your date of sentencing. Call (619) 615-2487 to schedule the appointment with the Work Release Unit. Do not leave messages, make sure you talk to someone within the department. If you do not make an appointment, a warrant can be issued.
Please review you court paperwork (Judgment Minutes), under custody, there is an X in the box “commit to sheriff” and on the next line, an X in the box “work release-call within 72 hours…”
